Our annual General Assembly took place on 26 June 2025 in Münster, Germany, with a record number of 61 participants.
We enjoyed a dynamic and insightful event hosted by Armacell, beginning with a welcome from Malte Witt, Vice-President EMEA at Armacell, and Peter Hoedemaker, President of the European Industrial Insulation Foundation (EiiF).
The morning programme featured guest speaker presentations, moderated by EiiF Foundation Director Andreas Gürtler. Dr. Cornelia Fraune from the City of Münster shared how Münster plans to decarbonize by 2030 and spoke about the potential impacts on local industry. Daniel Hötger, Armacell General Manager Operations EMEA, covered Armacell’s own decarbonization strategy and energy efficiency initiatives, followed by a Q&A session.
After a coffee break, the agenda continued with updates on EiiF’s administration and current projects, as well as finances presented by EiiF Treasurer Silke Weiss, and EiiF Membership Board Chairman Frank Baur spoke about the growing membership community and welcomed our new members - 16 since the last General Assembly. The morning concluded with open discussion and closing remarks from EiiF President Peter Hoedemaker.
The EiiF Foundation and Membership Board had meetings the day before, followed by a visit to the Armacell plant together with all members and an enjoyable networking dinner.
